Company demo session – Open Coffee – 21 April

Next week’s Open Coffee is being kindly hosted by Nick Sturge at SETsquared, University Gate East, Park Row, Bristol, BS1 5UB

Yesterday saw the formal launch of SWRDA’s £10m South West Loans Fund (£5m Cornwall & Isles of Scilly, £5m rest of SW, managed through the South West Investment Group); last week HEFCE announced £2.4m for SW Universities (which is being matched by the Universities themselves) to help support individuals and businesses affected by the recession; and anecdotal suggestions that banks are beginning to open up under the Enterprise Finance Guarantee; and Robin Klein (The Accelerator Group) has written an open letter to Alistair Darling & Lord Drayson calling for the Government’s supposed £1bn innovation fund to be split between 10,000 start-ups & growth companies, rather than 100 mezzanine or Series B/C investments.

So plenty to be talking about with Bristol’s entrepreneurs and OpenCoffee members.

As always, OpenCoffee is free to attend but to help Nick planning for numbers please do register via:

Many thanks and see you next Tues from 8.30
John
